Documentation (GCA 2!)

The following items of documentation are available to supplement the information given in the GCA online help files. In some cases, I have made PDF versions of the files available. The PDF files are Adobe Acrobat format, and allow for better format and nicer printing. Visit the Adobe Acrobat home page to download the free reader.

A Quick Tour of GCA is an introduction to GCA and its features. New users should find this very helpful in getting started with GCA. Highly recommended reading.

The GCA v2 Data File Format Specification covers everything you need to know about data files: what the parts mean, and how to put them together. This FileSpec does not cover new features introduced after v2.1, although those features are themselves covered in the What's New files for the subsequent versions.

The GCA v2 Mini-Spec is oriented toward those folks who'd like to know better what they can make GCA do without having to specifically edit data files. It includes an abridged version of data from the full FileSpec.
